Diesel Marine International (DMI) is the world leader in the development and application of surface treatment processes for marine diesel engine components.
The combustion chamber of a large 2-stroke diesel engine provides the most hostile environment with very high surface temperatures, coupled with highly corrosive and abrasive elements derived from the combustion products of low quality fuels.
For 30 years DMI has worked closely with OEM's and ship owners to develop surface technologies to extend the operational life and reduce the cost of such key components as pistons, cylinder covers, exhaust valves and cylinder liners.
These technologies have enabled DMI to become the world leader in the field of reconditioning and exchange of large diesel engine components.

DMI'S QUALITY STATEMENT

DMI's factories in Europe and the Far East manufacture and chromium plate new components for engine builders and their licensees.

DMI production equipment includes specially designed and purpose built machinery for welding, grinding. CNC turning, drilling and chromium plating to provide a quality and capacity unmatched anywhere in the world.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
DMI operates to the highest international quality assurance standards. DMI's quality management systems has been assessed and approved by Lloyd's Register of Quality Assurance (LRQA) to BS5750:Part 2:1987 (ISO 9002:1994)

In addition, all relevant marine components are processed to Classification Society approved procedures. Components certification can be provided for all major Classification Societies including Lloyds, DNV and ABS
